Overview:

Learn to plan and carry out a hiking trip into natural sites in local areas.

Purpose:

To acquire lightweight hiking skills.

Topics:

  • trip planning and logistics
  • gear selection
  • proper footwear and clothing considerations
  • menus and water supply, and,
  • sample trip routes. 

Duration:

One evening classroom session and four one-day hikes.
