Overview:

To gain sufficient expertise in canoe-handling to become O.R.C.A.-certified.

Purpose:

Completion of the requirments set by O.R.C.A. (Ontario Recreational Canoeing Association) to gain certification in basic flatwater canoeing skills, O.R.C.A. levels A, B, C, and D.

Topics:

• basic canoe-handling, turning, and paddling skills,
• emergency manoevers,
• safe boarding and disembarking,
• weight distribution and adjustments, and,
• many more related topics

Duration:

• possible one 3-hour evening session, plus,
• a weekend canoe outing, or 2 weekend outing days.

Tuition fee $175.00. There will be an additional certification fee, $tba.
