To
gain sufficient expertise in canoe-handling to become O.R.C.A.-certified.
|
| Purpose: |
Completion
of the requirments set by O.R.C.A. (Ontario Recreational Canoeing
Association) to gain certification in basic flatwater canoeing
skills, O.R.C.A. levels A, B, C, and D. |
| Topics: |
- basic
canoe-handling, turning, and paddling skills,
- emergency
manoevers,
- safe
boarding and disembarking,
- weight
distribution and adjustments, and,
- many
more related topics

| Duration: |
- possible
one 3-hour evening session, plus,
- a
weekend canoe outing, or 2 weekend outing days.

Tuition
fee $175.00. There will be an additional certification fee, $tba. |
